Texas Tech added a big piece to the 2014 recruiting class yesterday with the commitment of Sunshine State quarterback D.J. Gillins (Jacksonville, Fla./Eagle's View).
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Gillins first popped onto the radar of 247Sports late in the 2011 season and more than impressed at the Atlanta Elite 11 and NFTC in the spring.
