Is this true? Twitter is a buzz.
Seems to be. Unbelievable that he'd leave Tech and the Big 12 to go to Cincy.
This is what's going around. Now does Tech offer the position to Brown or does Brown and some other assistants leave? Football Scoop says they do not expect Tech to offer Brown the HC

Morris or Kingsbury?

It's true. I think they will go after Kingsbury. It probably would have been Sonny Dykes if he hadn't just gone to Cal.
The Cincinnati AD has ties to Tuberville from their time at Auburn.
Kingsbury is a high risk/high reward pick for the job. I think he would be the best option to keep recruiting exciting though.
Tubbs did Ole Miss the same way.
With Tuberville gong to Cincinnati, I wonder what the country's perception of the Texas Tech job is.
I believe Texas Tech needs to make a strong hire in order to not fall behind in the Big 12. Could they make a serious run after Art Briles? Maybe that's a stretch. Maybe go after recent Cal hire Sonny Dykes.
I believe this is good for Tech and Tuberville. He was never really happy in Lubbock and at times did not seem personally interested in the players. Even if the perception of the Tech coaching suffers a little with Tuberville quitting, it should not significantly affect the potential candidates Tech could realistically expect to attract. Tech needs a younger, somewhat proven, coach that's hungry to build a winning program and sees Tech as a place to do so. I just hope the Tech administration is having similar thoughts. Kingsbury would certainly seem to be an excellent choice if both sides are interested, but I have my doubts that will happen.
With the way Tech snubbed Art Briles by hiring Tuberville, coupled with his rock-star status in Waco, I do not see him being interested in the Tech job.
Sonny Dykes might be my first choice, but he's made an agreement with Cal, and I'm not sure we really want a coach that makes agreements and reneges on them.
Let's hope the cards fall in the right place, that Tech fans can put the last two coaches to rest and reunite as one Red Raider Nation!

Pine Box Tommy is what we thought he was.
Do you think they feel KK is ready for a HC job? In 2-3 years I would say it is a no-brainer they go hard after him.
Ya'll should hire Petrino today.
Tubby is a @*\!!\,€¥ for leaving like that, he cares nothing for these kids ,NOTHING!!! I know, remember him leaving ole miss like a thief in the night , heck, he didn't even take a change of clothes!!! HEADS UP TECH NATION, U R BETTER OFF!!
How did tech snub Briles? That's a new one.
Was thinking the same thing... As I remember we offered and he turned us down for more money at Baylor. But it was worth it for him, he had RG3 and is turning around that program.
I have been told by someone in a much better position to know than I, that Art Briles was looking at housing in Lubbock when he heard the news that Tech hired Tuberville. Since I wasn't with him when, and if, this happened, I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this report, but believe it to be true. Regardless, Art will not be Tech's next head coach.
There's often a difference between what is publicly reported and the truth.
