If Leach got fired for supposedly locking a kid in a shed and Gillespie was asked to leave because he was just too tough on his players, shouldn't Tubberville be fired for hitting a grad assistant on the sideline?
Personally I think he was ripping off the assistant's headset and missed, whether that's exactly what happened only Tuberville knows. I think a college football coach would punch before he would slap. After re-watching it it also appears that Tuberville is griping about something to Kevin Oliver as opposed to directly griping about him as a person. Now if Oliver were to come forward and call it a slap or if the media scrutinizes it too much then I would expect Tech to take some kind of action.

Also after re-watching it even more, his hand clearly goes in a downward motion (as if ripping the headset off), personally I believe a slap would be more lateral motion.
He grabs the mic and pulls... If he would have slapped him, the head would have moved in a completely different direction.
The Leach and BCG firings were also a lot more than a player getting put into a "shed" and pushing players to hard.
Oliver screwed up, it cost us, his boss got angry... sadly it got caught on camera and the media will take off with it.

Seriously, let's get past Leach... He wasn't even fired over the AJ incident since AJ even said in court that it was all made up.
It just kind of rubs me wrong. I guess if you are a GOB, you can do what you want. Don't tell me Leach wouldn't have been treated differently.
I like Tubs; I'm not a fan of some of the Tech leadership.

Leach wouldn't have came out with an apology after an incident like this... there's the main difference
