Which uncommitted players would you like to see Tech land?

  • Tell us what you think.

  • We've seen some good improvement on the defensive side of the ball this year, but I still don't think we have a play maker that's truly making a name to be feared out on the field. I know we already have like 5 or 6 DB's committed but LJ Moore would be huge to get a top corner. I also think we need to keep looking at building more depth on the line (both sides of the ball) I don't know of any guys interested on O, but but Derrick Calloway and Andrew Billings look like good prospects at DT.

I agree, we should have something on Moore and Calloway soon.

  • Personally I think Dee Paul is going to be a special player. He isn't real highly recruited coming from a 1-A school but he can play.

I don't think we should take another DB (assuming that's what we are recruiting him for) unless it's a big time recruit with all the guys we are currently bringing in. Just seems too risky to spend another scholly on someone that might not play out. 1-A schools can produce some talent, but it's a much bigger adjustment when the current talent he plays against is much lower than say a 4-A or 5-A kid. Doubt he would stick at safety either, he seems undersized for a D-1 safety.

From what I understand, he could end up at corner or play a Jakeem Grant-type role on offense, but definitely seems to factor in the return game.

    D. Wheeler and R. Davis both came from fairly small schools IIRC.

Coming from 1-A and getting an offer this late in the year (considering most of the highly recruited guys get offered much sooner), you have to trust the coaches' judgment.

  • I want to see Tech land either (or both) of their top TE targets in Beau Sandland and De'Mareiya Nelson. The run game and the middle passing game has really taken a hit with the loss of Amaro and Ontiveros, and adding these two (Nelson is more an H-back than true TE anyways) would really help out. Plus, having Amaro and Sandland lining up opposite each other would really help disguise the play whether run or pass.

It is what it is, playa
